A monthly safety review connects reading with site questions and improvement actions. Record learning separately from completed field controls.
Understand the situation
Reading more material is not the same as improving a site. A monthly review should turn relevant learning into questions and actions, not merely collect article titles.
Review the task
Select topics relevant to current work and check edition, sources and scope. Separate foreign incident facts from similar hazards at your site; responsible staff determine suitable actions.

- Who resolves uncertainties?
- Which articles changed?
Apply the lesson
Record topic, task, identified gap, action owner and deadline, completion evidence and effectiveness-review date. Keep reading status separate from action completion.
Avoid a common mistake
Next month, start with unfinished actions and corrected articles. Do not invent an action merely to count activity; record why a topic does not apply when that is the reasoned conclusion.

Review fields: topic, task, condition to check, owner/deadline, edition and review date. Reading is not completion of a field control.

Separate learning activity from risk reduction
Views and attendance measure participation, not the effectiveness of workplace controls. Learning needs a path into changes to equipment or procedures.
